Immerse yourself in the sophisticated rhythms of gamelan!

If you would like to register for the Balinese Gamelan Workshop with Special Dinner (price 990 CZK) which will take place on 29 May at 3pm at Drama Llama Kitchen, please fill in the form below. The workshop will be led by Martin Lauer, graduate of the Darmasiswa program, who studied Karawitan (Performing arts) at the Indonesia Institute of Arts ISI in Denpasar, Bali in 2017-2018 and performed with the gamelan ensemble Narwastu, which focuses on the interpretation of the traditional repertoire of Balinese gamelan, but also on presenting works of contemporary composers for gamelan. He is currently the member of Javanese gamelan ensemble Gamelan Wirama Galih and he also tries to incorporate gamelan instruments in the nu-jazz/ambient band Syndicate in his effort to expand its expression and enrich the pieces of its repertoire with lush rhythms and unusual melodies.
